Yen got this idea while sick with walking pneumonia (ew!) and spent their recovery listening to countless hours of pirate content and queerness at sea. Recommendations: Spotify’s “Real Pirates”, “Our Flag Means Death”, etc.

STORY + WRITING by Yen

I spent two weeks diving into enemies to lovers story beats and finding the most eviscerating thing Charlotte could say. By the end of it, our dining table was covered with letter drafts and my patient partner ate dinner on other surfaces.

FOUND PIECE ART by Cornelius

Our lovely artist did ALL the found objects you see. That includes drawing hundreds of lines for Gray’s posters and casually learning how to oil paint 18th century portraiture over the weekend.

what does being a beta reader mean?

We’re inviting 200 folks to become beta readers for Cherry Letter Club. You’ll get your first month of Cherry Letters free and be among the first to receive a Cherry Letter! You’ll also have special access to behind the scenes updates, story and art request polls, and announcements for new story releases on our Discord. We’re hoping to get all the creases ironed out by Valentine’s Day 2026, and we need your help!

what’s in an envelope?

We design each envelope to create an immersive, serialized experience that helps you dive into the story. Every envelope is a surprise, but you can expect:

A letter from the story, handwritten or styled in character-specific script
Worldbuilding found objects (ie. maps, recipes, royal decrees, narrative updates)
Frameable art from real artists including character portraits, posters, and doodles
Mini puzzles, codes, or hidden clues for readers to decode
Stickers, postcards, and paper goodies
And more!

You’ll see that everything is printed on really lovely stationery, too! Everything in your envelope is made by a human and we’re proud to put artists and writers first.

what if my letter doesn’t arrive?

We do our best to ensure the highest quality assurance, which is why everything is handpackaged and labeled by our team. However, stuff can happen with the mail. If your Cherry Letter fails to arrive by Saturday of the intended week, email us the details at cherryletterclub@gmail.com and we’ll cover the replacement letter to make it right.

what if I decide to unsubscribe?

Don’t want to subscribe to Cherry Letter Club anymore? Not a problem!

Simply visit our Billing Page to manage your subscription. You can cancel there and you won’t be billed for any following months. We will make sure you receive the last few letters of that month to get as much of the story as you can!Don’t want to hear from us, or receive letters? Email us at cherryletterclub@gmail.com. We’ll make sure you vanish from our mailing list - no questions asked.

do you mail internationally?

Not yet! We’re looking to grow our mailing destinations, but we have no clue where to start. Email us at cherryletterclub@gmail.com and let us know which country you’re in, so we can figure out where to mail and what languages to translate our letters into!
